There are plans for a new development at the Stade.

The proposed architects for the development are Ushida Findlay and artist impressions of the proposed design can be seen at their website by clicking the name.

As always with new plans, there are widely differing views locally and especially in the Old Town. 

We hope to provide on this page a balanced view of the plans so far, and unbiased news of any developments. The webmaster of Hastings Old Town Website takes a neutral position on this controversial subject, but we hope to reflect the views of interested parties.

In this way we hope we can present all relevant views, and help those who are concerned about the well-being of the Old Town to form their opinion of what would be best for the Old Town and for Hastings as a whole. 

If we get a large response to this request for comments, please do not be disappointed if yours is not published. We will aim to present all sides equally, and will only publish what we regard as well argued points. It will be difficult to be seen as impartial, but we will try to present equal views on both sides.
